Hi all! Some new commissions, Bestival adventures and shop re-opening! Exciting stuff as we look towards the Christmas season.
First up, 'Sue's ring'. A great commision to get my teeth into provided by a fab lady with some sentimental stones. Two beautiful diamonds set in silver using the leftover 18ct gold for granulation. She loved it and sent me a huge bunch of gorgeous flowers, the card read 'I love it, every time I look at it, it makes me smile and cry'.
These cufflinks were ordered by a bride, to give to her husband-to-be on their wedding day. One way to ensure he remembers the anniversary!
Commission for a lovely young lady who loved the bird designs on my enamel door plates. Silver with oxidisd dome to enhance the main design.
A beautiful 21st birthday ring commission; in loose, brief Honeybourne style this chunky ring incorporates a key, and as an extra surprise I added 21 little beads which encase it.
An 18ct white gold band with blue and pink sapphires acts as the symbol of a couple's commitment. The stones reprsent the children; two boys and one girl!
Sun & Moon
A lovley young man ordered this Sun & Moon piece as a surprise for his girlfriend's birthday. I used silver with 9ct gold granulation beads for the sun, echoing the texture on the moon.
A regular customer that holidays on the Isle of Wight during the summer brought in her 'tired' moonstone ring and wanted the Honeybourne magic to provide a new lease of life for it. To do this we enhanced the moonston by setting it between a green amethyst and blue topaz alongside three 18ct gold granulation beads.
This number came in to be 're-designed' as a concept for a 21st birthday gift. I used solid 9ct gold overlay, forming the tiny message 'keep believing', set with a pink sapphire. I found this a lovely inspirational piece to work on.
In addition to commissions this month we've just returned from Rob Da Bank's Island music festival, Bestival with a Honeybourne pop-up shop where Raff was turning out quirky, beautiful charms for lots of interesting faces over the weekend. We were situated in the 'gypsy camp' with buskers and other craftspeople; we had a lot of fun, thanks Bestival!
In other news, we're planning a re-fit of the boutique in Church st to celebrate Sophie coming back to work from maternity leave! Expect a new look Honeybourne Jewellery Shop, a new feel and of course some super special lovely new collections to go along with all the fun. We'll be closed for just one week (the first) in November ready for Christmas and all your seasonal wishes!
Lots of love,
