Keys, Arrows and Christenings!

As our regular followers know, we launched and blogged our little silver Arrows just over a year ago following the phenomenal success of our silver Keys. They've been gracing the necks of many of you in cute bunches or just singularly, carrying hand stamped initials.

Since then, we've teamed them up with our signature silver tags and are going to launch them on Not on the High Street as they've been solving a problem that we face to day in our shop.....The problem being; "do you have any christening gifts for boys?". As they were inspired by my son Rex, we felt that they were the perfect solution.

So, here's the idea.... The Arrow and Tag is threaded on to a gift card..
Take it off....
Thread it on to a chain for the mum to wear.....!

Same goes for the Key and Tag...
Boxed in our posh new boxes!..

What could be simpler!!
Watch out NOTHS, here we come....

Hello sunshine....!

Whilst spring has taken it's time to lift it's sunny head, we've been busy in the workshop working on our  commissions... Here are some of our faves..

I loved working on this piece. The customer gave me free reign to design a pendant with these old but sentimental bits and bobs of yellow and white 9ct gold.
I pierced out the background to give the granulation definition, the two tone golds give the piece striking contrast.
 The original pieces.

Final phase for the Emerald design.
We showed you phase one in 'Busy Winter Bees' post. This engagement and wedding ring was made in silver with inherited diamonds and 18ct gold.

Shown here with the 'husband to be's' wedding band in chunky hammered silver.
The inherited gold and diamonds.

Phase two of another silver mock-up featured in 'BWB'. Below shows the final piece engagement ring in chunky silver with inherited 18ct gold and huge diamond!. The wedding band will sandwich the piece together.

The original ring.

Baby giraffe... I was asked to make this cute charm to add to a bracelet that I made a while back. It's to sit alongside a vinyl record, a lobster and a few other pieces that I've made over the years.Oxidised silver with 9ct gold detail.

A customer brought in a handful of pieces of un-cut amber he'd found on an Island beach (he wouldn't reveal the location boohoo!).  I worked, polished and set the amber to make five rings for his five daughters each very different to the next thanks to the unique quality of the amber.

A couple of our ever popular key rings made for men (great for gifts as men are so hard to buy for!). Chunky solid silver with personalised message.

A hare loving lady commissioned a torc style bangle to match the pendant and ring she already has in this design. It was lovely to work on such a big piece, I was able to follow the design through adding more detail to the meadow.  The other is one that I made for the shop (it sold within a week, I'd better get working  some more designs!).

A lady commissioned this surprise gift, an 18ct white gold chunky band for her husband making it ever more special by using one of the diamonds from his late mothers engagement ring set with gold from the shank.

The original ring still has two diamonds which the customer may incorporate in to a design for herself. A wonderful way to remember a loved one.

Our keys have been super popular. This example was a surprise gift for a mum from her loved ones, to celebrate her 30th birthday. It carries her and her husbands initials with the word 'love' on the base of the key. The tiny key represents their 6 month son and carries his initials (aww!).
Back by popular demand! Our solid silver IOW's enameled in sea inspired shades of teal and turquoise.

A little example of what we can do with those bits and bobs of old gold knocking around the bottom of the jewellery box! These broken 9ct gold hoops were made in to granulation beads to fill our signature pods to make the below pendant & stud set.

A lovely couple dropped off this picture from their wedding for me to use on the Blog (always appreciated thank you!). I made their rings a while back now in 9ct white and yellow gold set with Ruby and Emeralds (their birth stones). I loved working with these guys as they wanted quite different designs from each other but we were able to make them look similar with the use of the stones.

We were featured in a magazine! Some of our jewellery was used in a shoot for Unique Bride, a quirky wedding periodical.

Last up were some Opal Stacking rings that I made for a customer. The Opals were set at angles to give it a clustered look when worn together.

If you would like to commission something from the Honeybourne hub, please phone ahead to ensure that I'm in the studio on the day. Opening times are as always Mon-Sat 10am-5pm.

Lets hope the sunshine keeps shining!
